Our founding team

Naseem Saloojee

Naseem is a seasoned operator with deep experience in technology, sales and marketing and go-to-market strategy.  

Prior to founding NSN Capital Partners, Naseem was the Senior-Vice President of Sales at Top Hat, the leading teaching platform for university professors. In Naseem’s 4 years at Top Hat, he guided the company to achieve >10X revenue growth, win Techvibes’ Canadian Startup of the Year award and be recognized amongst the fastest growing companies in the country by the Deloitte Fast50 and Profit500. Managed teams of >100 people and was responsible for driving the company's go-to-market strategy.

Previously, Naseem spent a number of years as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in its Toronto, Johannesburg and Dubai offices, advising clients and managing consulting teams to solve C-level challenges. Naseem has also worked for Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), a global strategy consultancy, and Bridgewater Associates, a Connecticut-based hedge fund.

An advisor at Ryerson's Digital Media Zone startup accelerator and a former member of the University Council of Queen’s University, Naseem is passionate about education and the potential to bring innovative and disruptive business models to slow changing industries.  

Naseem has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

Sean Kennedy

Sean is an experienced investor with an extensive background in financial analysis, forecasting, and risk management. 

Prior to founding NSN Capital Partners, Sean held a number of treasury-related roles at CIBC and TD Bank where he was a subject matter expert regarding liquidity, interest rate and foreign exchange risk. He implemented a new liquidity risk management program to get the bank compliant for Basel III regulations as well developed a number of interest rate and foreign exchange hedging strategies to allow the treasury to more effectively manage the bank's balance sheet. Sean also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers auditing financial services clients mainly in the insurance and hedge fund industries.

Sean is part of the Luminari CPA Start-up Program which is partnered with the Rotman Creative Destruction Lab. He enjoys supporting and developing startups and is currently an advisor to a quantum machine learning start-up assisting them with accounting, tax, financial modeling, cash flow management and equity raising.

Sean has a Masters of Management and Professional Accounting from Rotman School of Management and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Applied Economics from Queen’s University. Sean also has CPA, CA designation and is a CFA charterholder.
